Terms and Conditions

1. GENERAL PROVISIONS AND VEHICLE DELIVERY The Renter declares that they receive the vehicle in perfect working condition, clean, with all its accessories, tools, and documentation required by the traffic laws of the Dominican Republic. The Renter agrees to return the vehicle in the same condition on the date and time agreed upon in the reservation. Any delay in delivery without prior notification will be subject to additional charges according to the current rate. 2. ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE AND LEGAL VALIDITY The parties expressly agree and consent that this contract, the terms and conditions, and any related addendum be signed electronically. Both parties recognize the full validity, evidentiary force, and legal binding nature of the signatures captured through the KD Rent Car web platform, in accordance with Law No. 126-02 on Electronic Commerce, Documents, and Digital Signatures of the Dominican Republic. 3. GUARANTEE, DEPOSIT AND INSURANCE POLICY To guarantee compliance with contractual obligations, the Renter must choose one of the following security deposit methods upon receiving the vehicle: A) A security deposit in the amount of Two Hundred US Dollars (US$ 200.00) or its equivalent in local currency. B) Physical delivery of the original passport (applicable solely and exclusively to foreign citizens). The Renter assumes 100% responsibility for any damage, collision, total or partial theft, scratches, dents, or losses caused to the vehicle during the rental period. KD Rent Car does not offer full insurance coverage with zero deductible in the base rate; the Renter assumes full civil and material responsibility for damages caused to the vehicle and third parties. 4. FUEL POLICY The vehicle is delivered with a specific level of fuel and must be returned with the exact same amount. In the event of returning the vehicle with less fuel than agreed, the Renter agrees to pay a penalty and refueling charge calculated at the market value established by KD Rent Car. No refunds or credits will be issued for excess fuel returned by the Renter. 5. TRAFFIC FINES AND VEHICLE USE Any violation of Law No. 63-17 on Mobility, Land Transportation, Traffic, and Road Safety of the Dominican Republic committed during the rental period will be the exclusive and absolute responsibility of the Renter. The Renter authorizes KD Rent Car to retroactively bill for any traffic fines, unpaid tolls, or government surcharges detected after the return of the vehicle. Using the vehicle for illegal activities, racing, towing, or off-road driving will immediately void all agreements and allow vehicle seizure without refund.
