DATA CONTROLLER KD Rent Car is responsible for the processing of personal data collected through its web platform, committing to guarantee its security and confidentiality in accordance with current legislation in the Dominican Republic. 2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND KYC PROCESS (Know Your Customer) To securely manage vehicle rentals and mitigate fraud risks, we collect essential identity data from the Renter and authorized additional drivers, such as: A) Full names. B) Contact details (phone number, email address, physical address). C) Digital copy of official identity documents (Identity Card or valid Passport). D) Digital copy of a valid national or international Driver's License. This information is collected solely for the purposes of identity verification, legal driver status validation, and operational security of the vehicle. 3. LEGAL BASIS AND USE OF INFORMATION The processing of your personal data is carried out under the framework of Law No. 172-13 on the Protection of Personal Data in the Dominican Republic. The data will be used exclusively to: - Process and confirm vehicle reservations. - Manage rental contracts and billing. - Comply with safety requirements, fraud prevention, and KYC validations. - Service communications and roadside assistance. 4. CONFIDENTIALITY AND THIRD-PARTY TRANSFER KD Rent Car formally commits not to sell, assign, rent, or share users' personal data with third parties unrelated to the commercial transaction without prior express consent, with the sole exception of official requests by competent judicial or government authorities in accordance with Dominican laws.
